I’d like these boots. I’m wondering if the Museum of London will gift them to me if I ask politely.
With my ScreenDeep hat on, I have been working with Docklands branch of the museum and Creative Writes on a new piece of work.
Think East End, the days gone by of music hall performers and the nowadays of West India Dock Road – the dividing line between poplar residents and Canary Wharf’s engine.
We’ve been commissioned to create a script that highlights both these themes, morphing past and present – working with local seniors from Poplar Harca residences to inspire conversations. We had a jaunt down to Wiltons Music Hall – research. Their lunchtime tours are great, the building is impressively cosy – who needs paint work and level steps?
The final audio script we create will go into the Many East End Gallery at Museum of Docklands.
